At the Arnott Lifestyle Medicine Clinic, we realize that lifestyle medicine is a commitment. It takes time and dedication. Some of our patients are out of state or desire visits from their homes due to the COVID pandemic, which means we have made telehealth consultations available to all our patients.

Our goal is to make the process of lifestyle medicine and lifestyle change as simple as possible for you and your loved ones. We want to provide strong support to patients at all stages of their journey. With that in mind, we’ve developed a variety of patient resources that make patients’ lives easier.

What Should I Expect?

Patients should usually plan to see (in person over via telehealth) our lifestyle medicine specialist for a one hour initial consultation.  Subsequently, a tailored program of follow-up appointments will be arranged as best serves the needs of each patient, but usually at least two or three visits a year. In addition, we provide at no additional charge the services of a Health Coach or health counselor who will assist each patient in making lasting lifestyle changes ordered by the physician.  Also included at no additional cost are health classes and our cooking school.  As you can see, when you consider how much we are offering for the sole cost of seeing our lifestyle medicine physician, our clinic is providing a resource second to none.

Support Groups

We’ve worked to develop a support group for you to join. Our support groups meet monthly, and you’ll have the opportunity to speak to others who have shared your struggle in a positive, nurturing environment. Support groups are an excellent opportunity for patients to share their experience and help each other along, because you’re all walking a similar path. Many patients report that their support group feels like a second family.

We do a number of creative things with our support groups, like guided shopping tours to help you find low-fat high-fiber meals to help you lose weight. You can find a list of upcoming events on our lifestyle medicine resource page.
